The Active Schools showcase was on Tuesday 4th December at Penicuik High School. We were overwhelmed with the support from friends and parents who came to see all of our primary school classes come together and share their work this term. A great night was had by all - well done to all of the Actove Schools dancers!
KIC are delighted to continue their partnership with Youth Scotland and excited to have delivered the pilot "Platinum Award" course. The Platinum Award is Advanced Higher level and our students have completed this course intensively as well as completing a qualification allowing them to deliver the Level 2 Hi5 Award to all of our younger dancers throughout the company.
We are extremely proud of the students who embraced this challenge and impressed us with their attitude to learning. We hope to secure funding to give other dancers the opportunity this year.

Our Elite students took part in an inspirational workshop recently with Lorenzo Vayssiere (Sweet) from France. Dancers and staff were drawn in by his depth, connection and relationship with movement. Sweet's passion is infectious and we all came away with a new understanding of movement and use of breath to enhance our dance. We would like to say a special thanks to The Art Way Workshop by Sweet!
