Our Elite students took part in an inspirational workshop recently with Lorenzo Vayssiere (Sweet) from France. Dancers and staff were drawn in by his depth, connection and relationship with movement. Sweet's passion is infectious and we all came away with a new understanding of movement and use of breath to enhance our dance. We would like to say a special thanks to The Art Way Workshop by Sweet!
We thoroughly enjoyed working with once again with the world renowned Rambert Dance Company who visited us in November. Our Advanced/Elite dancers participated in workshops led by professional dance artists and had the opportunity to go and see their latest ensemble performed at the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh.
INVICTA have had a great start bursting on to the competition scene! The first beginners comp in Glasgow saw them lift the 1st place trophy for the senior hip-hop category as well as prizes for all three duet entries.
Dance Inzane comp in Falkirk saw another first place for the team as well as the judges choice award. Our duets were placed 3rd, 4th and 6th.
We rounded off the year with a 3rd place at NRG competition in Grangemouth.
